Green Site Facility Tours

Register for exclusive back-of-house facility tours geared toward the interests of facility professionals. Space is limited – tour registration is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Maximum capacity for each tour is 40 participants.
Comfortable, closed-toe walking shoes recommended; tour requires walking up and down stairs. Conference badge required. No cameras please – some tour sites do not allow photography.

Delegates will meet on 25 July, at 12:45 in the Bencoolen Room, Level 4 of the Raffles City Convention Centre, 252 N. Bridge Road, Singapore. Buses will leave the convention centre at 13:15 p.m. sharp; and will return to the convention centre after the event. Attire is smart casual. Please wear comfortable walking shoes. No cameras.

The Galen
Office
The Galen, located at the Singapore Science Park II, was named the winner at the 2011 ASEAN Energy Awards in the Retrofit category for Energy Efficiency and Energy Efficiency National Partnership Best Practices Award. In 2010, The Galen achieved the BCA Green Mark Platinum Award, a first in Singapore for existing buildings in the industrial category. Equipped with a state-of-the-art energy management system, the Galen has the most energy-efficient chiller plant in Singapore.

Zero Energy Building
Retrofitted Building
The Zero Energy Building (ZEB) is the first existing building in Singapore and Southeast Asia to be classified as a zero-energy building. Located at BCA Academy, the ZEB is completely self-sufficient in meeting its electricity needs. A multi-award-winning project, the ZEB has earned the prestigious Engineering Achievement Award from the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES), as well as the BCA Green Mark Platinum Award, the highest award for environmentally sustainable development.

Office
Equipped with environmentally smart building and design features, MBFC has achieved the BCA Green Mark Gold Award for its office towers 1 & 2, Marina Bay Residences and Marina Bay Suites. Office tower 3 was awarded the Green Mark Gold Plus.

BHP Billiton
Office Interior
BHP Billiton is one of the first office tenants in Singapore to be awarded the BCA Green Mark for Office Interior award. Several innovative initiatives were implemented to promote a safe, quality, innovative and sustainable working environment for their new office at Marina Bay Financial Centre Tower 2 in Singapore. The office design and operations includes several energy conservation initiatives, provision of extensive recycling facilities and waste management, as well as the use of environmentally friendly products to promote a healthy indoor environment.

Fuji Xerox Towers
Office
Completed in 1987, Fuji Xerox Towers is a 38-story commercial building comprising a three-story basement carpark and an annexed four-story podium block with mixed retail/office units. Fuji has implemented numerous energy conservation initiatives to optimize the chillers system, installation of building performance instrumentation; and has achieved significant reduction in energy consumption. Fuji Xerox Towers recently underwent the Green Mark certification process, achieving a Green Mark Platinum Award.

City Square Mall
Shopping Mall
Envisioned as a miniature town center providing a perfect setting for people to meet, shop and play, City Square Mall is home to some 200 tenants, catering to a range of lifestyle needs. The mall layout drew inspiration from the vibrancy of a street-like retail design concept. With its adjacent urban park named "City Green," City Square Mall is Singapore's first eco-mall, providing visitors with a variety of shopping options as they enjoy an eco-learning experience.

Ocean Financial Centre
Office
Ocean Financial Centre is a 43-story, eco-friendly office building situated above Raffles Place. The building was awarded Green Mark Platinum in 2008. Several energy and water conservation initiatives were implemented to reduce energy consumption by 35 percent and water consumption by 37 percent. Other green innovations include an integrated paper recycling facility to recycle all paper waste generated from the office, collection of condensate water for cooling tower make-up, heat recovery system or hot water production, and anti-corrosion coating for pre-cooled AHUs.

Kaer Pte. Ltd.

Office Interior
The Kaer office was awarded BCA's Green Mark for Office Interior Platinum award in 2011. The company has implemented numerous features to promote environmentally friendly and sustainable practices. Such features include replacement of a conventional GI duct system with a fabric duct system to reduce fan speed and fan power consumption by 6 percent annually; eco-plugs provided to groups of workstations to monitor power consumption; promotion of open-office layout design with flexibility for future manpower expansion of at least another 30 percent without the need for major renovation or relocation.
